Introduction to tourism

An erratic travel made by the nomad in the earlier days has now turned into to the world's most flourishing industry called Tourism. The word Tourism is derived from French word Tourism literally means to travel related jobs. Tourism is the temporary movements of people yo different destinations away from their homes, where they normally live,work and execute different activities during their stay.

                   Tourism industry is the kind of industry,associated with providing leisure activities concerned with travel,natural beauty,food accommodation,entertainment and other facilities for the people who are visiting a place for any reason.

                    Tourism is the about people who travel away from familiar home environment for any reason. This industry plays a crucial role in promoting national economy,as such every country in the world is going after the development of tourism industry. In context of Nepal the importance of this industry is far more tremendous than that of any other industry existing in the country hence more emphasis is being given in the accelerating the pace of it's growth and development by the government and public sectors.

                    The words Tourism and travel are not synonyms.All tourism involves travel but not all recreation is tourism. All tourism occurs in leisure time but leisure time is not given tourist pursuits.

                    Above all, tourism may be described as activities of tourist and those who cater for them.It is highly diversified businesses, those tourism is a hospitality industry providing services to visitors in a warm and convivial way.

                    The Hospitality industry is a part of a larger enterprise known as ''travel and Tourism Industry,''which is a vast group of business  with one goal in common, is providing necessary or desired products and services to the travelers,touts or visitors.
